Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey delivered a lacklustre performance on Monday night as the Gunners fell to a 2-1 defeat at Everton.
Prior to the Premier League match, the Arsenal man gave an honest self-assessment of his first year at the Emirates Stadium, in conversation with Sky Sports.
“I give myself four [out of 10],” said Partey.

“Because there are moments I can really hurt the other team but there are also moments where I allow myself to lose focus and that’s when everything goes down.
“This is when you realise that you have to get better.”
Partey is a talented player and he’s bound to come good eventually.
However, he’s really low on confidence and struggling for form now, and this was evident against Everton.
The Ghana international was conservative in possession, lost nine of his 14 duels – more than any Arsenal player – and his passing was off.
In addition, Partey had the opportunity to have a shot from about 25 yards out in the 18th minute, but blasted his effort high above the bar.

Chris Sutton, commentating on BBC Radio 5 Live, criticised the poor quality of the effort.
“That was the worst shot of the weekend by a country mile,” he said (6/12/21, 20:19).
“Nothing can beat that from Thomas Partey.”
That said, Partey wasn’t the only Arsenal player to put in a bad performance against Everton.
However, some players could hold their heads high after the game – Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard stood out.
Odegaard had opened the scoring for Arsenal in first-half injury time, before Richarlison equalised on 79 minutes.
Arsenal looked set to claim a point, but Demarai Gray’s injury-time winner sent the Gunners home empty-handed.
