Tottenham may need reinforcements in January.
The north London club’s current injury crisis has only served to highlight how light the squad is, and in January, it may be time for Daniel Levy to put his hand in his pocket and get some new blood through the door.
As always, a whole host of players have been linked with a January move to Tottenham, and some are certainly more realistic than others.
Speaking on Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel, The Mail’s Josh Hughes has been discussing some potential transfer targets for Spurs, and he says that Samuel Iling-Junior is very much a realistic potential signing for the north London club in the winter window.

Iling-Junior to Tottenham could happen
Hughes shared what he knows about the Juventus ace.
“Samuel Iling-Junior at Juventus. His asking price is around just below €20m (£17m). That’s one I believe from what I’ve heard there are sniffs of talks, preliminary talks. That one I can see happening because Tottenham have a relationship still with Juventus. Romero was through them, Kulusevski and Bentancur, Serie A has been a fruitful market for Spurs recently,” Hughes said.
Would make sense
This is a move that would make the world of sense.
Illing-Junior ticks a lot of boxes for Spurs. He’s young, exciting and attacking, but perhaps most importantly, he’s homegrown.
Despite Spurs’ lack of depth, there have been issues at Spurs in terms of squad registration in recent years, and at the age of just 20, Illing-Junior wouldn’t even need registering this season, while next term, he would qualify as a homegrown player.
This is a low-risk signing with a huge upside, and if Ange Postecoglou can work his magic on this young man and turn him into a star, then this could be a fantastic signing for Tottenham.
