Harry Kane’s situation is proving to be a major issue as Tottenham look for their new manager.
Speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, Dean Jones has shared some insight into Spurs’ search for a new head coach, and he says that Kane is causing major problems as Daniel Levy hunts for a new manager.
Unfortunately, Levy can’t give any clarity on Kane’s future, he can neither tell a new manager that they’ll have Kane leading their line or that they’ll receive a large windfall from the sale of the striker to spend on a new forward this summer.
Understandably, that is leading to a bit of hesitancy from any prospective coaches.

Kane is an issue
Jones shared what he knows about Kane and the search for a new manager.
“Now listen, a big problem in recruiting a new coach is convincing them that Harry Kane is going to be there or telling them that he’s not and they’ll have X amount to spend on a new striker, that is a major problem,” Jones said.
Difficult
It’s so tough for Spurs in this situation.
On one hand, they need to prioritise their search for a new gaffer, but on the other hand, they need to handle this Kane situation very delicately.
They can’t rush Kane into making a decision as they could just push him closer to the exit door, but at the same time, they can’t allow him to dawdle as they will risk missing out on some top managers.
The sooner this Kane situation is resolved the better as Tottenham will then be able to move on and present a clear picture of what Spurs’ future will look like to any potential new manager.
