‘That calibre of player’: Pundit says Tottenham need to sign someone similar to £30m Real Madrid man

Tottenham have been very bright this season.

The north London club have played some incredible attacking football, and when everyone is fit and available, there’s a case to make that Spurs are one of the best teams in the Premier League.

However, as Tottenham sit fifth in the league, there’s clearly another gear to find next season, and according to Leroy Rosenior, Tottenham need to sign a superstar to reach that next level.

How Tottenham can reach the next level

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Rosenior stated that Tottenham need to sign a superstar in the mould of Luka Modric next season to go to the next level.

“I was just thinking about what Spurs need to get to the next level, and I see that shirt there behind you, Luka Modric, the. Number 14 there. I’m not saying Luka Modric, but that calibre of player, someone who will come in and be that superstar. Now you have the style of play is it about adding that superstar to that group of players?” Rosenior said.

Tottenham need a bit of magic

Tottenham seem to have really got it together this season in terms of their style of play, but at times, they look as though they’ve been figured out.

Fulham found it very easy to beat Spurs just a fortnight ago, while there have been other games where Spurs have come unstuck.

A player like Modric would be able to find a solution where nobody else can, and if Spurs had someone of that ilk, perhaps they would be able to put themselves in and amongst the Premier League title conversation next season.

Of course, finding a player like the £30m Real Madrid star is much easier said than done, but if Spurs’ scouts can uncover a gem like this, Tottenham will be looking in good shape heading into next season.
