Arsenal fans have been having their say on matters after Jay-Jay Okocha claimed yesterday that Alex Iwobi was essentially forced out of the club.

Iwobi was sold to Everton back in 2019, with the Gunners pocketing a fee in the region of £34m for the forward.

But speaking to Goal yesterday, Okocha – who is Iwobi’s uncle – claimed that his nephew had struggled initially at Goodison Park after being in shock at essentially being forced out of The Emirates.

Okocha says Iwobi was ‘obliged’ by the club to accept the deal. Ultimately, the move has worked out quite well, with Iwobi now going on to become one of Everton’s key players under Carlo Ancelotti.

However, Arsenal fans, as usual, have been having their say on the matter on social media. Twitter was full of comments from Gunners fans who were somewhat taken aback by Okocha’s comments.

Here, then, is a look at what some Arsenal fans had to say in response to Okocha’s claim on Alex Iwobi.
