‘Thank god’: Liverpool fans react as Alisson Becker returns to light training following injury

Liverpool fans have been celebrating some good news following the miserable Virgil van Dijk update today, with goalkeeper Alisson now back in light training ahead of a comeback.

The Brazilian stopper has missed the last few games and was expected to miss a prolonged period of time through injury.

However, the Liverpool Echo claims Alisson may well be back before the end of the month, with pictures emerging of the Reds’ number one being back on the training field today.

Of course, after such a miserable 24 hours of injury news, the boost from seeing Alisson back kitted up has come at a good time for Liverpool.

Reds fans, too, have been responding in kind to the update and plenty of them took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

It’s safe to say, then, that the Liverpool supporters are pretty excited to see their number one back in the fold.
