Arsenal fans have been celebrating today as news emerged of Gabriel Martinelli making his long-awaited return from injury.

The Brazilian has been missing since March but, as reported by Football.London, is expected to play for the under-21s in the EFL Trophy against AFC Wimbledon this evening.

Martinelli’s return will be a massive boost for Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal players. The young forward started life under Arteta very well but was cruelly robbed of his progress by that blow in March.

But he seems to be back now after weeks of teasing images on Twitter, and the social media platform was packed with Gunners fans celebrating his impending return tonight.
