Ten Players That Could Leave Liverpool This Summer

Adam Bogdan

Hungarian keeper, Adam Bogdan, arrived in the summer on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers, ready to take Brad Jones’ position as our number two. However, with Simon Mignolet under-performing, Bogdan was given his chance in between the sticks. A number of high-profile errors soon meant that he was sent to the under-21s by Klopp, who instead recalled Danny Ward from his loan, as backup for Mignolet. Bogdan’s short time at the club looks set to be over in the summer.

Mario Balotelli

The end also seems near for Mario Balotelli. Signed by the infamous transfer committee during Brendan Rodger’s reign as Liverpool boss, the Italian became the replacement for Luis Suarez after failing to lure Alexis Sanchez to Merseyside. Currently on loan at former club AC Milan, the Serie A outfit seem willing to take him on a permanent deal. His agent suggested that he would be willing to return to the club in order to work with Klopp. However, the former Manchester City man has a reputation for a low work ethic meaning he will not be wanted next season.

Kolo Toure

What a hero this man is! Our Ivorian defender has become a cult hero during his time at Anfield after arriving from Manchester City on a free transfer. Toure has been a consistently solid back-up when called upon and has become a fan favourite. His leadership and experience in the dressing room would be missed but there are too many other options at centre-back. It would be nice to see Kolo remain at the club in a coaching role.

Luis Alberto

Former Barcelona prodigy, Luis Alberto, has become a forgotten figure at Anfield. The Spaniard made a scarce number of appearances under Rodgers before being shipped to Malaga and Deportivo on loan. The youngster has impressed during his loan spell and Deportivo are interested in making his move permanent. Alberto has the ability but just wasn’t suited to English football and should make the move back to Spain in the summer.
