Liverpool have a host of youngsters in their academy right now tipped for future stardom and Rafa Camacho may be top of the pile.
The 18-year-old is a versatile ace that usually plays as an attacker for the Under-23s side, but has dropped into both midfield and full-back at times too for the Reds.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Sporting Lisbon have made an approach to try sign the Portuguese teenager on loan in January for the rest of the season.
It is understood that a host of Championship clubs have also enquired about his availability.
Jurgen Klopp has included Camacho on the bench for a couple of Premier League games this season, but he’s still waiting for his first senior appearance and it could be a while still due to fierce competition in the squad.
The Merseyside club should opt to send him to a Championship club, where he will be tested in a real first-team environment and experience a competitive division.
Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson is currently ripping up trees with Derby County in the Championship and looks a future first teamer at Anfield, which is why Camacho needs to try follow in his footsteps.
Camacho is a skilful attacker that is extremely dangerous in wide areas with his pace and trickery, while this season he’s scored seven goals and supplied eight assists in just 15 youth team appearances.
He needs senior game-time to help him make the next step, but many believe he could be the next product out of a prestigious academy.
