Bobby Clark has posted on Instagram after it was confirmed that the teenager had completed a move to Liverpool from Newcastle United.
Clark, 16, is one of England’s brightest talents. An England Under-16 international, he has already played for Newcastle’s Under-18 side.
But his form has clearly not gone unnoticed and Liverpool have pounced. The Toon announced that Clark has swapped Tyneisde for Merseyside.
A deal was finalised on Thursday before completion. Now, Clark will be tasked with breaking into the Under-18 side, and then reserve team.
The son of ex-Newcastle midfielder Lee Clark, Bobby will find he has plenty of competition ahead of him. He posted on Instagram on Thursday.
Clark joins Liverpool from Newcastle: Bellingham reacts
There are numerous names that Clark will have to fight his way past if he is to establish himself at Liverpool. That is, in both the 18’s and 23’s.
The likes of Luis Longstaff, Elijah Dixon-Bonner and Jake Cain are options often in the Under-23 starting line-up at Liverpool.
But of course, Clark is now a Liverpool player – and will be a part initially of the 18’s. Holding up a Liverpool shirt with his name and no.10 shows the faith in him.
Plenty have responded to his Instagram post, including – most notably – Jude Bellingham. Liverpool goalkeeper Harvey Davies also congratulated Clark.

In other Liverpool news, the Reds are eyeing one of Wayne Rooney’s fringe players as cover. He is currently third choice at Derby County.
