Ivan Morales has told South American outlet CDF that he is aware of Tottenham Hotspur’s reported interest, but stated that he is willing to remain at current side Colo Colo.
La Cuarta claimed Tottenham had sent an entourage to Chile to complete the signing of 19-year-old Morales, and had tabled an offer worth £2.5million to land the attacker.
Interest in Morales is beginning to generate, after he has scored nine goals in 40 outings for Colo Colo. But a Spurs move to land Morales has fallen through, with Colo Colo wanting as much as £4million for the attacker.
Daniel Levy’s tight stronghold on the Tottenham coffers has seen Spurs opt against landing the versatile attacker, and Morales has stated that Spurs’ interest is indeed true – but he is willing to remain with Colo Colo this summer.
“Yes, that is handled by other people, I focus on what I have to do here,” Morales said. “If I have to play here, I’ll be happy, because that’s what I want, but that’s handled by other people.”

TBR’s view – Morales could be exciting prospect for Tottenham
Morales looks a very exciting talent. In what is a league growing in talent, he has scored nine goals although he has been used out wide as much as up front in his 40 senior appearances.
Spurs are known for bringing through youngsters, with the likes of Jamie Bowden, Jack Roles, Troy Parrott and more looking to become this season’s Kyle Walker-Peters, Oliver Skipp and Harry Winks.
Morales should be added to that list – especially at a bargain £4million. But it looks as though he may be remaining in Chile for the time being.
