Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier made a big impression in Wednesday’s friendly win over Team K-League.
So much so, in fact, that the opposition’s manager said the Spurs centre-back was his man of the match.
Tottenham ran out 6-3 winners over their opponents at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea’s capital.

Dier, Spurs’ first-half captain, gave his side the lead on the half-hour mark with a long-range effort.
On the stroke of half-time, Cho Gue-sung equalised with a floated header over Spurs goalkeeper Brandon Austin.
Antonio Conte made six substitutions at the break as he looked to give many of his players a run-out.
One of those, Harry Kane, helped put Tottenham ahead shortly after the restart, forcing an own goal with a low cross.
Moments later, Lars Veldwijk restored parity with a low shot that found its way past Hugo Lloris.
And not long after that, Kane drove a low shot into the bottom right corner to make it 3-2.
Son Heung-min added a fourth for Tottenham from the penalty spot following a Jun Amano handball.
Amano then made it 4-3 with a free kick that crept into the far corner.
Kim Dong-min earned his marching orders when he hauled down Son just outside the box.
Kane scored from the resulting free kick, before Son slotted home Tottenham’s sixth after rounding the keeper.
An exhilarating friendly, plenty of Spurs players getting minutes, and quite a few of those really impressing.
Dier did lose his man for Team K-League’s first goal, but overall his defending was assured and he led the line well.

And of course, the £4million man did score a superb goal – and on his weaker foot.
Kim Sang-sik, Team K-League’s manager, opted for Dier- who came off midway through the second half – as his man of the match.
A great day for Spurs, and Dier – as well as Conte and everyone else – will be delighted with his performance.
