Wolves trio, Ruben Neves, Adam Traore, and Raul Jimenez are all apparently wanted by other clubs.
Neves and Jimenez are reportedly wanted by Manchester United. Traore, meanwhile, has attracted a number of admiring glances after a fine season thus far for Wolves.
Indeed, the Sun reports that Traore is now wanted by Barcelona, while Man City and Liverpool are both keeping tabs on the Molineux speedster.
However, with Nuno Santo’s men being one of the best of the rest in the Premier League, it makes little sense for them to sell their star assets.
All three players mentioned are crucial to Wolves. Jimenez with his goals, Traore with his pace on the break, and Neves, who keeps things ticking along in the middle.
Losing any of them now would be devastating.
A chance to build something special
Wolves are becoming one of the teams beyond the top four who everyone loves to watch. Their attacking style and pace on the counter make them an exciting watch.
Backed by Fosun, they have invested wisely in recent years. After romping to the Championship title, they’ve settled nicely in the Premier League. Furthermore, they finished seventh last season, leaving their stamp on the table.
They’ve continued in earnest this season, too. Their Europa League run has been more than impressive. On top of that run, they’ve also managed to cement a top-half place in the PL table.
Put simply, selling your best players is not the way to go. Wolves have the funds, backing, and vision to convince their best players to stay put.
In Nuno Santo, they have an ambitious manager who can take them forward. With a few more signings and a bit more time, Wolves could well break into the top four.
If Traore, Neves, and Jimenez are sold, or a combination of the three go, then Wolves would be setting themselves quite the way back despite their progress.
