TBR View: Tottenham need to find solution for youngster Jack Clarke

Despite the fact Tottenham prospect Jack Clarke has been linked with loans away from the club this summer, he’s currently still stuck in a difficult position on the fringes at Spurs.

Birmingham Live claimed earlier this month that the 19-year-old was close to joining Championship side Birmingham City on loan, but that haas not materialised.

The English attacker is included in Jose Mourinho’s latest 25-man European squad, but he’s yet to make an official match day squad yet in any game so far this season.

It seems an impossible task of him breaking into side despite some minutes in pre-season and it’s got to a stage where his development will be impacted if he’s left without regular game-time.

Spurs desperately need to resolve his future before the transfer window shuts, as he’s someone with massive potential and Gary Lineker previously called him “talented” back in January 2019.

He is a skilful right-winger that joined from Leeds United last summer, but he had little first-team action during loan spells away last season and so far he looks a £10million flop (BBC).

But he’s still at the very early stages of his career and can turn it around, something he can only do if he starts playing regularly.

Spurs must find a suitor that are going to play him regularly this campaign, which is why they need to reach out to  Championship clubs to see if they are willing to take a punt on him.
