Amidst the madness of the search for a new manager at Tottenham, Harry Kane was proven right.
It emerged last month that the ‘superb’ England international wants to leave the north London giants. Kane previously admitted that he wants to compete for ‘Europe’s top team trophies.’
Well, if the Lilywhites had any chance of convincing their star man to stay, that’s gone up in smoke,
The debacle that is Spurs’ search for a manager continues.
First talks with Antonio Conte collapsed with Paulo Fonseca the next target. However, that move fell through as well due to issues over tax with talks for Gennaro Gattuso opening the same day.
But, less than 24 hours after their interest in the former AC Milan figure was announced, that’s gone up in smoke as well.
How the hierarchy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium can hope to convince the centre-forward to stay is beyond most people’s understanding.

Failed manager search could affect transfer plans
The club can barely string together a plan to hire a coach, something that is surely playing on Kane’s mind.
The likelihood of Spurs appointing a new manager anytime soon is minimal. And if they’re struggling to appoint a coach, it’s unlikely they’re doing anything resembling good work in the transfer market.
In order to convince players to join the club, there first needs to be a manager with a plan. Most players nowadays need to be sold on the project of the club they’re joining.
It’s safe to say Spurs’ current plans lay in tatters.
No transfers means Kane is unlikely to be convince to stay at Tottenham
So, with the lack of a manager hindering their transfer plans, what are the chances Kane stays?
Well, right now, there seems next to no hope to convince the 27-year-old of remaining in north London.
The lack of transfers coupled with the lack of Champions League football is two reasons why the player is likely to walk this summer.
It seems as though Kane was proven right in demanding a move away from Tottenham. Their failed managerial hunt is a sign of the soaring lack of ambition at the club.
