Arsenal are reportedly one of a number of sides interested in signing Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren this summer, and Jurgen Klopp has got to use that interest from north London to his advantage.

Italian outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi have claimed that Arsenal are being rivalled by Tottenham, Lazio, AC Milan and Lyon to sign 31-year-old Lovren – who is likely to leave Liverpool in the summer, given he is due to enter the final 12 months of his contract.

The report claims that interested parties will have to pay around £18million to nab the 57-time Croatia international – despite his contract situation. But could Klopp use Arsenal’s interest in Lovren, and play a trump card in a pursuit of his own?

According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing teenager flyer Bukayo Saka. Still just 18 years of age, Saka has been in stunning form for Arsenal this season – having a hand in 12 goals during his 29 outings.

Indeed, the England Under-19 international has scored three goals and created nine more in 29 league and cup outings for The Gunners. Liverpool are not the only club interested in signing Saka, with Manchester United keen, too.

Arsenal are yet to tie Saka down to a new deal, with his current terms expiring in the summer of 2021. It is believed Liverpool are keen to do a deal for Saka, given his explosive form since breaking into the Arsenal side.

In order to convince Arsenal into a sale and to beat off the competition of Manchester United, Liverpool need a trump card and they may have stumbled across one of their own in Lovren.

With Arsenal keen on adding Lovren to their ranks and Liverpool seemingly willing to get rid of the former Southampton defender – Klopp needs to use Arsenal’s interest to improve his side’s chances of netting Saka.
