Leeds United reportedly rejected loan interest in their youngster Sam Greenwood on transfer deadline day, which is a decision that looks a transfer blunder.
According to the Telegraph, as relayed by The Boot Room, Leeds turned down a loan approach from Championship side Swansea City for the 19-year-old.
Greenwood, who moved to Elland Road last summer, has made a great impact with the Under-23s side this campaign.
His performances in the Premier League 2 saw him earn his Leeds first-team debut last month, as he came off the bench in the FA Cup against Crawley Town.
The left-footed teenager is a highly-rated centre-forward that is clinical in front of goal and has the kind of movement that is mature beyond his year.

Greenwood’s season has now been mapped up to spent another six months with the youth team, which is a place he can continue to develop strongly as they play in the same way as the first-team.
It’s highly doubtful he going to get a look-in given the form of Patrick Bamford, so Whites supporters will have to wait until next season to see if they get a glimpse.
But that’s why not sending him out on loan looks a mistake.
He’s a massive star in the making that should be fast-tracked into senior football and a loan spell for the second half of the season with Swansea would have been perfect.
