TBR View: Arsenal must go all in for Dominik Szoboszlai after stunning Thursday goal

The youngster is thought to be on the radar of several top clubs.

Arsenal have previously been linked with a move for Dominik Szoboszlai and last night the youngster showcased exactly why the Gunners must go all in and sign the 20-year-old.

The Salzburg performer scored a stunning late goal to ensure Hungary qualified for the European Championships for the second successive tournament.

Arsenal were linked with a move for the wonderkid in the summer and on his latest showing it’s easy to see why.

His goal deep into stoppage time of their Euro 2020 play-off final against Iceland was a thing of real beauty and the Gunners shouldn’t waste any time.

Szoboszlai is likely to have Europe’s top clubs chasing him once the transfer window reopens in January.

The Gunners have won four and lost four of their opening eight fixtures during 2020/21.

One area that some supporters believe remains an issue is a lack of creativity in the final third.

Typically a left-winger, Szoboszlai is on fire domestically as well; scoring five goals and registering nine assists from his 13 appearances.

He netted in Champions League games against Lokomotiv Moscow and Atletico Madrid and is deemed one of Europe’s top talent.

Arsenal have some quality in wide areas but it’s fair to say some are to convince Mikel Arteta.

Bukayo Saka is a start of the future but Reiss Nelson and Nicolas Pepe are yet to convince.

More options are likely to be in the mind of Arteta and the Hungarian seems perfect. He is full of tricks, scores goals and is unbelievably creative.

Szoboszlai is available for just £18 million and Arsenal must pounce on the player who could be capable of lighting up the Emirates Stadium.

His latest Hungary goal could be just the start and as a result, Arsenal must convince him his future lies in North London.
