Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is currently trying to solve a creativity crisis at the Emirates Stadium and one man who could help with his conundrum is a player previously endorsed by Mesut Ozil.
The German playmaker hasn’t been included in either of Arsenal’s squads for the Premier League or Europa League for the 2020/21 campaign and is now in limbo.
It’s not easy to say whether Ozil would have helped Arsenal scored more than the nine goals in nine games they currently have – although it seems obvious he’d have been a useful option at least from the bench.
One man who could alter things, however, is Lille performer Yusuf Yazici and He has already received a seal of approval from Ozil back in 2018.
In quotes published by the Daily Mail, the 31-year-old said: “I really like Trabzonspor duo Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Omur, they are incredible talents.
“Yazici is an amazing No.10. We have lots of similarities and I see myself in him.
“We will see Yusuf at a big European club in the near future.”
The 23-year-old signed for the Ligue 1 outfit in the summer of 2019 but it would seem that Lille will act as a stepping stone.
This season the Turkey international has been bang in form. He has fired nine goals and registered two assists with Lille going well once again the league.
Last season was a slow campaign for the former Trabzonspor ace but given his tender years, there is optimism that he will become a star of the future.
Arsenal should certainly consider taking a chance on the player who boasts the versatility to play on either flank.
Creativity has been a real struggle for the Gunners this season and there is certainly a void for Arteta to work on filling.
Yazici might prove to be an affordable addition for Arsenal and he’d be a wise investment for the future at the Emirates Stadium.
