Tanguy Ndombele has responded on Instagram story when asked if he would prefer a move to Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain, amid recent reports, and the French midfielder has given a short, two-word response.
Ndombele, 23, was lured to Tottenham last summer from French side Lyon for a club-record fee, but he simply has not got going at Spurs. The France international has been in and out of the side under Jose Mourinho.
His last Premier League appearance saw Ndombele hooked at half-time with Spurs 1-0 down to Burnley. Mourinho criticised the French ace in the public domain after the match, with score finishing 1-1 thanks to Dele Alli’s penalty.
Ndombele has certainly fallen down the pecking order under Mourinho. Fellow summer signing Gio Lo Celso is arguably first choice alongside England international Harry Winks, while Moussa Sissoko remains crucial to the side.
According to The Mirror, La Liga giants Barcelona are interested in offering Ndombele an escape route and a move to the Nou Camp this summer despite his poor form at Spurs. French outlet Foot Mercato have claimed PSG also want Ndombele.
On Instagram, Ndombele was asked which club he prefers and the midfielder responded with a blunt two word-verdict, seemingly dismissing a possible exit to either PSG or Barcelona, by posting on his story “keep lying”.
