Everton’s future ambition was confirmed this week. The Toffees are firmly in the running for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. The French international has been watched by Everton chief scout Martyn Glover and, according to the Liverpool Echo, Everton are hopeful of signing the £40 million-rated star.
The fact Everton will be battling with the likes of Tottenham, Manchester City and Arsenal for his signature shows that they are ready to try and compete with the best on the transfer market.
With ambition overflowing at Goodison Park, perhaps another big name target should be in their crosshairs?
The player in question is Christian Pulisic.

Most Everton fans would agree that the right-hand side is one of their weak points. Theo Walcott is a frustrating figure out wide and, let’s not forget, turns 30-years-old this season.
Pulisic would, therefore, be a game-changing puzzle piece for Everton.
The Borussia Dortmund winger is increasingly being linked with an exit from Germany. His contract expires in 2020 and he has lost his guaranteed starting spot at the Bundesliga club.
Everton undoubtedly have the advantage of being able to offer the USA international a near-guaranteed starting position every week.
The Telegraph recently reported that Chelsea and Liverpool are keen on a potential £70 million deal for the player.
If Everton could talk that fee down this would be the ambitious transfer to put them on the map across Europe.
