Tammy Abraham and Arsenal star applaud Leeds ace Eddie Nketiah on Instagram post

Eddie Nketiah scored his second Leeds goal in just his second appearance for the Yorkshire side, tapping home the winner to beat Brentford in Wednesday night’s Championship clash – and he received huge praise on Instagram after the match.

Nketiah, 20, began his Leeds career with a goal after good work fom Helder Costa in the Carabao Cup against Salford City. On Wednesday, he was given his Championship debut with Leeds, and it certainly paid off.

Leeds dominated Pontus Jansson’s Brentford, but had struggled to make the breakthrough. Marcelo Bielsa turned to his bench, and brought on both Nketiah and Costa – and the duo linked up again to score inside the last 10 minutes.

Leeds held on to the 1-0 lead to return to the top of the table with 10 points from a possible 12. Nketiah posted on Instagram after the match, posting a photo of his celebrating with a cheeky caption: “Anyone order a goal?”

The goal gives Bielsa a headache. Patrick Bamford has been in decent form so far this season, scoring three goals in four Championship outings. But the striker is certainly under pressure, while Nketiah also scored for the Under-23 side on Monday.

Arsenal superstar Emile Smith-Rowe and Chelsea goal getter Tammy Abraham reacted to Nketiah’s Instagram post, with former Villa ace Abraham telling Nketiah he is “proud”.
