A talkSPORT has urged Tottenham Hotspur to sign a £40m-rated striker this summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur have never really replaced Harry Kane since his departure to Bayern Munich last summer.
Ange Postecolgou’s side is lacking a prolific number nine and that’s certainly an area that’ll likely be addressed in the window.
With that said, a pundit believes a £40m striker would be absolutely perfect for Spurs.

Darren Ambrose urges Tottenham to sign Ivan Toney
Speaking on talkSPORT, Darren Ambrose urged Tottenham to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney, noting that he’d be perfect for Postecoglou.
“He (Toney) oozes confidence, and I think Ange Postecoglou could do with someone like that,” Ambrose said.
“Richarlison came in from Everton, good signing, can he be the one to score goals? I am not a huge fan of Son in the number 9 role.
“He is so effective from the left, and you need your best players playing in the places they are most effective.
“So, to get him on the left, you need a number 9. I think Ivan Toney could really work with the way Ange Postecoglou likes to play.
“He will get chances, and 10, 15 more goals and you are seeing a top-three side there, more goals than last season, and you are seeing a top-three side there.
“Oozes confidence, had a good Euros, good impact. If he came in, it’s probably his last chance saloon basically for a big club. I would be relatively confident that he would do really well at Spurs.”
Toney is out of contract next year, too, so he’s expected to be available at a cut-price fee worth around £40m.
