Tony Cascarino has been singing the praises of Harry Kane over on TalkSPORT this morning, insisting he is under-rated by many in the game.

Kane scored once more as he beat Jordan Pickford from the spot to keep Tottenham firmly in the title picture. His record from the spot remains incredible, and he was the one who won yesterday’s spot-kick as well.

And Cascarino, speaking on TalkSPORT, believes Kane is simply undervalued by some and that he actually has far more talent than he gets credit for.

“His all round play was very good yesterday (against Everton), as the game wore on he got better and better, and that was the difference in the two teams yesterday, Harry Kane’s performance,” Cascarino said.

“There are some people who want to undermine what Harry Kane’s achievements are. He is an extraordinary striker who is going to beat Wayne Rooney’s record for England. That’s one incredible achievement.

“He’ll go past Jimmy Greaves, he might even get to Alan Shearer. Some people don’t think that Kane is that good. Kane is an all-round complete player, he has got everything in his armoury. Harry Kane has a lot of talent, and he’s a team player, I can’t think of many players who are as good a team players as a centre forward.”

TBR’s View: Kane One Of The Greats

Harry Kane might end up being like Alan Shearer in that the team honours don’t come with him like the individual ones have. That is a shame, but it doesn’t mean he isn’t an all-time great.

Kane is outstanding and Cascarino’s words here are bang on the money. This is a striker who not only scores goals but provides for teammates, works hard, and leads by example.

Kane is simply superb and only when he’s finished might everyone realise just how good he is.
