Scottish football legend Ally McCoist hopes Rangers go and sign Everton midfielder Dele Alli this summer.
The 26-year-old has struggled at Everton since making the switch from Tottenham Hotspur back in January.
The former England international fell out-of-favour at Spurs after a huge dip in form and was looking to revive his career at Goodison Park.
But it hasn’t quite worked out so far and reports suggest that Alli isn’t working hard enough in training to impress his boss Frank Lampard.
Despite his drop in form, McCoist has told TalkSPORT today that he would like to see the midfielder move to Rangers.

McCoist hopes Rangers sign Alli
He said: “I’m really disappointed to hear that [links to Turkey], to be honest with you Sam. I really am. I had high hopes that he would go on to rekindle his career, get his career moving again and Frank [Lampard] would give him an opportunity to do that.
“Everton were struggling, Everton were looking for anything to get them going. And obviously Dele Alli wasn’t strong enough to get in the starting line-up. Really, really disappointed.
“It makes sense from Everton’s financial point of view, if he’s not going to start and he’s not going to play.
“I just think it’s sad, I really do. I think he’s a big disappointment. I mean no disrespect to the Turkish league, it’s not a step down from the top flight in England which is the best league in the world. It’s probably two or three steps down, so it’s a big disappointment.
“I really do [Rangers]. I take him all day. He’s completely and utterly lost his way. It’s not easy, don’t think for a minute that it’s easy.
“You look at the players who have come to Rangers beforehand, and I’m not saying they’ve struggled, but they haven’t been as much of a success as a lot of people would’ve thought.
“And Celtic, it’s a difficult place to play. But if you do play there, it’s a fantastic place to play.”

Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be aiming to regain the Scottish Championship this season after losing out to bitter rivals Celtic last campaign.
The Gers enjoyed a brilliant campaign in Europe last season as they reached the Europa League final.
Alli has clearly lost his way in recent years but at one point he was seen as one of the best young midfielders in Europe while he was at Spurs.
It’s clearly not working out for him at Everton and if he was to move on this summer, Rangers could be a smart option for the former Spurs man.
