'Take a bow Edwards': Some Liverpool fans react to what Reds have tweeted today

Liverpool fans have praised Diogo Jota after the Reds Twitter account shared a post highlighting his impressive minutes-to-goal ratio.

The 24-year-old has been superb for Jurgen Klopp’s side since his £41million move from Wolves last September.

Jota managed to do what appeared unthinkable at the start of last season, namely break up Liverpool’s front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

The Portuguese was sidelined from early December to late February due to a knee injury, and the Reds missed him badly.

A foot injury late on in the season then meant Jota missed two of the last three games of 2020-21.

Now fit again, Jota has hit the ground running this season, with two goals from Liverpool’s first three games.

With the international break now in full swing, the Reds reflected on their player’s impact at Anfield so far.

And what an impact he has made – he is third on the club’s all-time list for minutes-per-goal ratio.
