A number of Swindon Town fans have lauded Kaine Kesler Hayden after the Aston Villa loanee made his debut for the Robins on the opening day of the new League Two season.

Ben Garner’s men top the table after the first round of fixtures. They produced a superb second-half comeback to beat Scunthorpe 3-1.

And Kesler Hayden played a key role in the victory over the Iron at Glanford Park.

It was the 18-year-old who won the visitors the penalty that led to the equaliser. Jack Payne was the man to score from the spot.

It was a superb run from the Villa youngster. And his trickery once he burst into the penalty area forced the defender to bring him down before he could potentially get a shot away.

He was taken off with 10 minutes remaining. Ultimately, only one teammate won more challenges than the teenager (via Whoscored).

And it is pretty clear what the Swindon fans made of Kesler Hayden’s display. Many took to social media to laud the Villans starlet after he commented on the victory.
