Lucas Bergvall once again announced himself to the Premier League with his first goal in the competition against West Ham United.
The 19-year-old netted a wonderful goal as he managed to latch on to Cristian Romero’s pass from deep to loop his header over the head of Mads Hermansen and in.
Micky van de Ven and Pape Matar Sarr also netted in Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 win over the Hammers, which was their third victory of the season.
Bergvall was named Player of the Match for his display at the London Stadium with a goal and an assist.

Jon Dahl Tomasson slammed for not playing Lucas Bergvall for Sweden
Swedish fans were not happy with Jon Dahl Tomasson’s decision not to hand Lucas Bergvall a single minute for the national team during the latest international break.
The Blue and Yellow were held to a 2-2 draw with Slovenia and suffered a shock defeat against Kosovo during World Cup qualifying.
Tomasson’s team are currently third in Group B after two matches, with Switzerland next to play when the next international break rolls around.
The 19-year-old remained an unused substitute in both matches, which looks like an unusual decision after his latest display for Spurs.
Bergvall became Tottenham’s youngest scorer since Dele Alli in 2015 to score a Premier League goal for the North London club.
After his Man of the Match display against West Ham, Sweden fans took to X to share their frustrations towards Bergvall’s lack of minutes.
One fan said: “Goal and assist for Bergvall today. But JDT play him for the national team…”
“Bergvall has a playhouse in the Premier League. But in the Swedish national team, he gets no minutes over two games,” added another.
There were further question marks as to why Bergvall didn’t play for Sweden: “If Bergvall doesn’t start before Saletros’s next match in the World Cup qualifiers, then I don’t think JDT knows much about football.”
Finally, another added: “The team’s by far best player, even before goals and assists. JDT thus has a worse eye for football. What a poor coach.”
Bergvall is sure to get his chance during the October international break when Sweden face yet more crucial World Cup qualifying matches.
But overall, Spurs will be pretty pleased if Bergvall is being sent back fully fresh, just like he was after the September international break.
Thomas Frank was so impressed with Lucas Bergvall vs West Ham
Thomas Frank was so impressed with Bergvall’s display against West Ham and felt he helped to drag the team to victory at the London Stadium.
After the game, Frank told the media: “I think his performance was good today. I really liked his energy, his pressing skills, and his enthusiasm. He kind of drags the team with him, and there is so much he can learn and improve.
“Fantastic goal, well-timed run – it was a top, top ball from Romero and a well-executed header.”
The teenager will be hoping to make his Champions League debut against Villarreal on Tuesday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
