Newcastle United have been linked with a loan swoop for West Ham United playmaker Manuel Lanzini.

However, some Hammers fans aren’t at all impressed with the speculation.

According to 90Min, Newcastle have set their sights on Lanzini as they look to bolster their ranks in January.

Lanzini initially joined West Ham on loan in 2015 from UAE club Al Jazira.

The Hammers subsequently bought him for a reported £9million.

Lanzini has made 176 appearances for the club, registering 25 goals and 25 assists.

The 28-year-old struggled for a while following a serious injury in the summer of 2018.

However, he has shown glimpses of his old self over the past few months, forcing his way back into the side.

Furthermore, West Ham’s squad is very stretched as it is, particularly in these uncertain times.

Therefore, Newcastle would probably struggle to land Lanzini in January.

It’s just not logical as far as West Ham are concerned.

Besides, the move really wouldn’t go down well amongst Hammers supporters.
