Borja Baston was the hero as Swansea City recorded their second league win of the season. Borja’s second and third goals of the season saw Swansea rise into the play-off zone with seven points from three games.
The Spanish striker has been given a Swansea lifeline by new manager Steve Cooper and he has not disappointed. After scoring in the opening game (a 2-1 victory over Hull City), he has added two more goals to his tally.
Borja equalised for the Swans after Preston North End took a first-half lead. He dropped off the markers and hit a cut-back low into the bottom corner with his first touch.
Later in the game, shortly after Preston levelled at 2-2, Borja was on hand to restore Swansea’s lead. The 26-year-old popped up in the middle of the box to send a header into the net for the winning goal.
Borja now has three goals in three games this season and is starting to show fans what he can do. After two loan spells away (with Malaga and Alaves), Borja is now starring in Wales. Here are some tweets from Swansea fans hailing their striker.
I love you man!! Please don’t go. You’re going to smash the championship. You’re career will take a massive lift off staying with us.

Superb Borja. Brilliantly taken goals and fought hard out of possession. This season could be very interesting. ⚫⚪⚫⚪🦢
