Reports this week are suggesting that AC Milan could be prepared to sell Suso in January.
Tuttosport have reported this week, as relayed by MilanNews, that the Rossoneri are seriously considering the Spaniard’s sale in January.
The Italian side are looking to make a significant sale in January in order to meet FFP regulations.
Suso has struggled to come to terms over a new contract at the San Siro and, therefore, Milan are preparing for his potential exit. The report states that Suso has a €38 million (£32.8m) release clause.
So should Everton look at bringing the Spaniard back to Merseyside?
Suso spent five years at Anfield but never managed to cement himself in the first-team picture. He eventually left for Milan in 2015 where he has gone on to become a Serie A star and full Spain international.
However, his form has dipped recently and if he is available he would be the perfect option for Everton.
Throughout the summer it was reported (The Telegraph) that Marco Silva wanted a left-footed attacker to bring balance to his current offense. Everton did not manage to get one, with Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean both preferring their right foot.
Suso, however, is a left-footed right-winger, the perfect option that Silva has been craving.
Everton have shown a strong tendency for bringing in players from big clubs who are perhaps being underappreciated. Lucas Digne, Andre Gomes, and Yerry Mina all arrived from Barcelona and this would be a similar deal for the Toffees.
Suso could have a similar impact and be a shrewd addition if Everton act fast. If he goes on to be a hit, it would also be a great source of gloating over their currently dominant Merseyside rivals.
