BBC pundit Ashley Williams has made a prediction about how Everton and Aston Villa will get on in this season’s Premier League.
The former Toffees defender thinks his old club could surprise a few people this season having narrowly beaten relegation last time around.
And he also thinks that Steven Gerrard’s side could challenge for the Champions League spots in the former England international’s first full season in charge.
Frank Lampard is also embarking on his maiden full campaign at Goodison Park and will be hoping for major improvements this time around.

Williams makes Everton and Aston Villa prediction
He said, when commenting on the race for the top four: “Arsenal are getting stronger and stronger.
“Yes a team like Aston Villa could hit a golden patch and challenge.
And I think Everton might do well this season too – there is always a team that surprises everyone – but the Gunners are the most likely team to break into the top four.”

Both Everton and Villa are huge clubs who cannot be happy with where they finished last season. They will both be looking for more this time around.
Can Villa gatecrash the top four? Last month, it was reported he had told key Villa players he is aiming to come seventh this year.
That would make them the ‘best of the rest’, while Everton cannot be involved in a relegation battle again this time around, or it seems like Lampard would pay with his job.
