Tom Lockyer has issued his verdict on Albert Sambi Lokonga since the Arsenal midfielder signed for Luton Town on loan in the summer.
Albert Sambi Lokonga appears to be getting better and better at Kenilworth Road. It was a brave move to join Rob Edwards’ side ahead of this campaign given that many were tipping the Hatters to be immediately relegated from the Premier League.
And the 24-year-old did not get off to the best start. There was even talk that Lokonga could have his loan terminated in the January transfer window. But he is proving a lot of his doubters wrong right now.
Tom Lockyer lauds Albert Sambi Lokonga
Lokonga has been outstanding in recent weeks. Gary Neville was full of praise for Lokonga at the weekend as Luton pushed Manchester United all the way.

And speaking on The Monday Night Club, his captain insisted that he deserves the kind of praise Ross Barkley has received during his time with Luton.
“Sambi Lokonga has come in and he doesn’t get anywhere near as much credit as Ross but he has been superb as well,” Lockyer said.
Arsenal future looks a lot more uncertain after superb loan spell
There remains a big question mark over whether Lokonga has any future at Arsenal. But the Gunners will be delighted by how well he is playing ahead of his return in the summer.
Mikel Arteta may be tempted to take another look at the £17 million star before making a final decision. But there is no question that his stock has risen while he has been at Luton.
Should Arsenal therefore, decide to let him go, they should able to demand a lot more than they would have been able to after his loan at Crystal Palace last season.
Lokonga has proved that he can shine in the Premier League. And that will alert a lot of sides if he does indeed become available this summer.
