‘Superb’, ‘out there ruining lives’: Some fans rave about 18-year-old Rangers loanee’s display last night

Glasgow Rangers gem Kai Kennedy has been impressing away from Ibrox on loan.

The 18-year-old broke into the Rangers first-team setup last season but an alleged disagreement with Steven Gerrard over playing time saw him change clubs in October.

Kennedy, whose Gers contract expires next summer, linked up with Inverness on a loan stint until January, and to date, he has made four appearances in all competitions.

On Tuesday night, the teenage winger started for Caley in their Scottish League Cup Group A game away at Raith, and played the full 90 minutes plus penalties.

Kennedy weighed in with a superb assist for his side’s first equaliser, his cross from the right wing being smashed home by Shane Sutherland.

Manny Duku had opened the scoring for Raith and also levelled for the hosts in the 90th minute to force the game to penalties.

Sadly, Kennedy missed the decisive spot kick for his side, after Nikolai Todorov and James Keatings had also missed for the visitors, while Brad Spencer fluffed his lines for the hosts.

Nevertheless, plenty of Caley fans were pleased with Kennedy’s performance and praised him on social media:
