Young Leeds United goalkeeper, Illan Meslier, has impressed all season and has been rewarded for a fine March with a place in the Whoscored.com team of the month.

Meslier joins a host of top players from some of the biggest clubs in England in the XI. Harry Kane is in there, while Man City have three and Manchester United have two representatives.

The Leeds stopper was in fine form and WhoScored describe him as a ‘superb addition’ to the Premier League. Per the report, Meslier made 16 saves in March (more than anyone else) and also kept a fine clean-sheet in the 0-0 draw with Chelsea.

Meslier has been excellent ever since replacement Kiko Casilla in goal. Indeed, just this week, PSG are said to have registered their interest in the young goalkeeper.

Still just 21-years-old, the sky really does look the limit for the Leeds starlet.

TBR View: Meslier proving himself week on week, he has a fine career ahead

The entire Leeds United team has impressed this season but Meslier deserves a special mention. Given his age and inexperience, it is remarkable he has adapted so quickly to Premier League life.

Yes, he’s made the odd error but he’s just 21, so those things will happen. All in all, he’s looked a seasoned top-flight goalkeeper.

PSG’s interest is no surprise. Other clubs will also be casting admiring glances in the direction of Leeds and Meslier. His nod for March here is a testament to his excellent form and he’ll be hoping to finish the season with a bang.
