Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur earned praise from BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton following his goal against Sporting CP in the Champions League.
Antonio Conte’s Spurs hosted the Portuguese giants at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hoping to seal qualification in Group D.
However, Tottenham struggled in the first half and fell a goal behind. Spurs academy graduate Marcus Edwards struck against his former club.

Conte’s charges were much improved in the second half, with Hugo Lloris pulling off a number of superb saves.
And in the 80th minute, Tottenham got back on level terms thanks to Bentancur.
Ivan Perisic swung in a corner and the £20million ace outjumped Antonio Adan to head in from six yards out.
“Adan came, it’s a floated left footed in swinger,” Sutton said on BBC Radio 5 Live (21:39). “It’s hopeless goalkeeping.
“Bentancur gets up brilliantly, he leaps and nods the ball in.
“Adan comes for it, he’s flapping. He wants a foul. Absolutely not!
“I think Spurs have deserved this from their second half performance.”

Moments later, Sutton said (21:40): “We’ve got an interesting end to this game after that superb header from Bentancur.”
An interesting end to the game indeed.
In the fifth minute of injury time, Harry Kane popped up to seemingly seal a dramatic win for Tottenham.
However, after a very lengthy VAR check, the Spurs star’s effort was ruled out.
And in the aftermath, Conte was sent off.
