One year ago Leeds United were being linked with the signature of Israeli striker Moanes Dabour. Leeds were desperate to secure a new striker in January. As reported by The Daily Mail, the Red Bull Salzburg striker was one option being considered.
With good reason as well. He had scored 13 goals in 18 games for Salzburg that season after impressing on loan at Grasshoppers Zurich the season previous.
In the end, Leeds did not get their man. With good reason. Dabour went on to help Salzburg to the semi-finals of the Europa League and once again conquer the Austrian domestic scene.

His form since Leeds were linked has been incredibly impressive. Dabour has scored 34 goals in 54 games since the report claiming Leeds’ interest.
Such form will no doubt see Dabour being linked with some massive teams in the months to come. There is also the chance that RB Leipzig could raid their sister club for the 26-year-old Israeli international.
If Leeds win promotion, they might just have a chance of making a move yet again. If not, Dabour will join the list of ‘if only’ targets at Elland Road.
