When Sunderland were relegated to League One, there were several youth team players who were tipped for first-team roles in the third tier.
Ethan Robson was one player who many Sunderland fans thought they would start to see regularly but he failed to break into the first-team.
An injury at the start of the season ensured that it was a slow start to the season for Robson and he never broke into the first-team on a regular basis.
The 22-year-old played three times for the Black Cats and all three games came in the Checkatrade Trophy.
At the end of January, Jack Ross decided to allow Robson to leave Sunderland on loan and he joined Scottish Premiership side Dundee.

Robson traded a bit-part role at Sunderland for a relegation battle in Scotland and he has played six times since joining.
The young midfielder is a regular starter for Dundee and is impressing. Last weekend, he scored his first goal for the club but he could not prevent them from losing a relegation six-pointer against St Mirren.
Robson’s contract expires at the end of the season and he faces a real battle to earn himself an extension. Ross has his preferred options and Robson turns 23 at the start of next season.
Unless he can find some inspired form towards the end of this campaign, Robson might be looking for a new club in the summer.
