Sunderland lost ground in the League One promotion race at the Stadium of Light last night with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Blackpool.
Jack Ross’ side slipped behind in the first half to an Armand Gnanduillet strike but rescued a point 15 minutes from time thanks to Jack Baldwin’s equaliser.
The general performance of the side was not up to the standard the fans will want to see and the midfield was lacking creativity and energy on the whole.
But local boy and captain George Honeyman was particularly disappointing and the fans were not shy in taking to Twitter to let him know about it.

Honeyman is an honest worker and the kind of player Sunderland have needed in terms of commitment and dedication, but there are still legitimate question marks over his quality and ability to impact a game on a regular basis.
Although it might feel harsh for the natives to take aim at a player who clearly bleeds red and white and loves the club, that’s exactly what they did and we’ve put together some of the best reaction…
