It would be fair to say that Will Grigg has not yet done enough to win over the fans at Sunderland.
The Northern Ireland international was signed in January to try and replace the goals about to be lost by Josh Maja’s move to Bordeaux.
As reported by the BBC, Sunderland paid Wigan a fee in the region of £4 million for a player who had a proven track record of scoring goals at this level.
However, he struggled to find his best form and some Sunderland fans were left fairly displeased with his performances since arriving on Wearside.

It appears many feel the same way after his performance in the opening game of the campaign against Oxford United.
It was a familiar feeling for Sunderland fans, as they started their new campaign with yet another draw.
Grigg struggled to impose himself on the game at all, with the home crowd cheering when he was eventually hauled off for Aiden McGeady in the second-half.
Whilst some fans feel manager Jack Ross deserves a huge portion of the blame for his tactics others were less forgiving.
Many feel that Grigg is simply not putting in the effort needed to be a hit at Sunderland and his lack of closing down or movement was called out on Twitter.
