A number of Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to react to Phil Parkinson’s confirmation, in comments reported by the Sunderland Echo, that Laurens De Bock has returned to Leeds United.
De Bock endured a difficult time at the Stadium of Light. The Belgian made just five League One appearances for the Black Cats, while he played 10 times in all competitions.

The left-back was not involved in a winning team after September. And Parkinson confirmed after Sunderland’s most recent game that Leeds have recalled De Bock from his loan.
It has been suggested by the Sunderland Echo that De Bock is keen to return to Belgium. And unfortunately for the 27-year-old, it appears that many of the Sunderland fans are not too disappointed about the news.

Admittedly, there have been a couple of supporters who believe that De Bock was not a terrible signing. It has been suggested that he was unlucky with injuries, and may have been unfairly judged by some.
However, the majority are pleased that he has returned to Elland Road. They must be hoping that his wages will be used to bolster the club’s January kitty. The play-offs are not out of reach, but this month is going to be crucial.
Here is what some of the fans made of the news that De Bock is heading back to Leeds…
