'Summer ineptitude coming back to haunt' - Edouard injured, some Celtic fans panic
Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard limped off before half-time in yesterday’s victory over Motherwell, prompting worry from the fans.
Edouard was Celtic’s only available senior recognised striker but he might be set for a spell on the sidelines.
The Frenchman was replaced after 39 minutes with Celtic 2-0 up and youngster Mikey Johnston – who is more naturally suited to an attacking midfield role – replaced him.
Although Johnston got on the score sheet, Celtic fans will still be fretting about Edouard’s injury.
With Leigh Griffiths out for the foreseeable future due to personal reasons, Edouard’s fitness is vital for the Bhoys with some important games coming up.

The 20-year-old has scored 13 goals this season and they need him back to his best to stay at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Brendan Rodgers confirmed after the game that the substitution was due to an abductor injury.
The Celtic boss said: “He felt it tight around his abductor. We’ll assess it over the next 24 hours.”
But Celtic fans will still be hoping that Edouard’s injury is not too serious. Below are some replies after he went off last night.
Damn. Anybody still got Carlton Cole’s number? #CELMOT

This isn’t good at all with the upcoming fixtures and that fact we are thin with proven goal scorers upfront
