Celtic recored a 2-2 draw on Thursday evening away to French Ligue 1 outfit Lille – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were left raving about their player Diego Laxalt for his performance.
The Bhoys picked up a point in the Europa League group stage match, after losing the opening fixture against AC Milan last week.
Neil Lennon’s side raced into a two-goal lead in France with a double from Mohamed Elyounoussi and it was a much improved display from a team that were into the game on a run of three matches without a win in all competitions.
But hosts Lille turned up the pressure in the second-half and responded with goals from Mehmet Zeki Celik and Nanitamo to secure a draw.

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media were left disappointed by letting a two-goal lead slip, but were full of huge praise for their 27-year-old defender Laxalt for his contribution.
The all-action left-back has made a brilliant start to his career at Parkhead since he joined on loan from AC Milan and he was at the thick of it against Lille, as he showed some aggressive tackling and brilliant energy to try join in with attacks.
