‘Stunning’, ‘very impressed’: Some Liverpool fans in awe of 5ft 10in ace’s ‘relentless’ display v Burnley

A number of Liverpool fans have waxed lyrical about Andrew Robertson’s display and goal in the Reds’ Premier League encounter on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds hosted Burnley at Anfield and got off to a great start with plenty of chances coming the hosts’ way, though they struggled to make them count.

Liverpool eventually broke the deadlock in the 34th minute, Robertson finding the back of the net with a superb drilled header.

However, the Reds couldn’t race further ahead, with Clarets stopper Nick Pope in inspired form, and the visitors were eventually able to pull level through Jay Rodriguez’s shot on the turn.

Burnley could have even won it late on, an 87th-minute corner kick falling to Johann Berg Gudmundsson, who struck the woodwork with his effort just minutes after bringing Robertson down in the box.

It proved a frustrating afternoon for the champions, who can now no longer beat the Premier League record for home wins in a season, and it showed there’s always work to do to remain at the top.

However, Robertson’s display was one of the brighter aspects of the day, and plenty of Liverpool fans were eager to praise the 5ft 10in ace on social media:
