Leeds United youngster Stuart McKinstry has admitted that he still sometimes has to pinch himself over the fact that he gets to work with Marcelo Bielsa, in comments reported by Motherwell’s official website.
McKinstry arrived at Elland Road from Well in 2019. And he appears to be one of the most exciting prospects currently looking to edge closer to a first-team opportunity.

The 18-year-old initially started with the under-18s. But he is now an established member of the under-23 squad at Thorp Arch. And he has been rewarded for his impressive development.
The club confirmed on their official website in August that he had been handed a new three-year deal with the Whites.
It has been a fantastic start to life at Leeds for McKinstry. And he suggested that he still cannot believe that he is getting the chance to learn under Bielsa.

“Sometimes you have to pinch yourself that you are working with someone as famous in the game as the manager is,” he said, as reported by Motherwell’s official website.
“He’s achieved so much and it’s something I never thought I’d be able to do especially at this young age.
“Hearing stories from famous players and managers about Marcelo and now being able to say that I have experienced what they have is something I can never take for granted. It’s an honour to train under such a well-known manager.”
McKinstry looks to be on right path
McKinstry is in a difficult position as he looks to try and push for a first-team debut. Leeds now have so much depth out wide. The likes of Raphinha and Ian Poveda are having to bide their time waiting for opportunities to start.
But he certainly appears to be getting close to knocking on the door. Bielsa has proved in the past that he has no problem putting faith in younger players if he feels they are ready.
And with McKinstry recently getting a new contract, it would appear that Bielsa certainly has high hopes.
