Stuart McCall has praised Bryce Hosannah’s latest performance as he suggested that the Leeds United loanee has made a very bright start to life since his temporary switch to Bradford City, in comments reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Hosannah was one of a number of Whites youngsters loaned out by the club following their promotion. The young right-back joined the Bantams for the rest of the campaign.
He was named Bradford’s man of the match on his full debut. And he has since followed that up with an impressive performance in their 1-0 defeat to Bolton on Tuesday.
It was a display that was lauded by several fans on social media. And McCall seemed to suggest that he has been extremely happy with what he has seen from Hosannah so far.
“He showed that he was a big attacking threat for us down the right-hand side, other than putting the ball in the back of the net which his performance merited,” he said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“I thought he really performed well.”
“We’ve got to be careful with him because he was flat out, back and forth. We need to look at his data,” he added.
“He’s started really brightly for us, that’s for sure.”
Hosannah is a player who has been on Marcelo Bielsa’s radar. He is still awaiting the chance to make his first-team debut for Leeds. But he has been involved with the senior squad in pre-season in the past.
The level he needs to reach is obviously now higher while Leeds are in the top flight. But he appears to be on the right track in the early stages of his time at Valley Parade.
