Leeds United ace Stuart Dallas has spoken to the official Whites website about how what it’s like to train under new manager Jesse Marsch.

The Elland Road board made the difficult decision to part company with Marcelo Bielsa last Sunday.

Leeds then moved quickly to bring in his replacement, with Marsch taking the Whites reins on Monday.

The 48-year-old last managed Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig, leaving by mutual agreement in December.

Prior to that, Marsch made a name for himself in Europe at Austrian serial winners Red Bull Salzburg.

The American isn’t expected to deviate from the Bielsa blueprint, but he’s likely to make some necessary tweaks.

“He’s made a few changes”

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Leicester, Dallas went into detail about how Marsch wants Leeds to play.

He also revealed that the Leeds players are “excited” to play his way and “confident” they’ll adapt quickly.

“The new manager has come in and freshened things up a bit,” Dallas stated.

“He’s made a few changes and the boys are looking forward to this weekend.

“I think we realise as players that we are in a fight and we need to start getting results.

“Hopefully we can turn our season around because we know it hasn’t been good enough this year.

“We haven’t had that consistency that has been needed to progress up the league.

“We’ve trained now for two to three days and he has got his point across to us about what his philosophy is and how he wants us to play.

“He still wants us to be on the front foot and aggressive in how we press and how we play.

“Our biggest strength is the pace we’re able to go forward with when we have the ball.

“But, we have to be a lot more compact when the ball breaks down, so we’re in a position to win the ball back as quickly as we can.

“So yeah, there’s been a few changes. The boys are excited to play this way and we’re confident as a group of players that we can quickly adapt.”

Leeds are currently 16th in the Premier League table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.

After the Leicester game, the Whites host Aston Villa on Thursday night and then face Norwich on Sunday.
