Footage of Leeds United’s director of football Victor Orta celebrating after his side’s 1-0 win over Barnsley have emerged on social media – and Stuart Dallas has summed up the Spanish chief with a two-word Tweet.
The Whites put one hand not only on promotion to the Premier League, but the Championship title too on Thursday evening thanks to a 1-0 win over Barnsley. Michael Sollbauer’s goal was the difference.
It was a backs-to-the-wall type display for Leeds, though, as they uncharacteristically were put on the back foot by rock-bottom Barnsley. Even Marcelo Bielsa admitted after the match that Barnsley deserved more.
The win saw Leeds climb to five points ahead of West Brom and six above third-placed Brentford. The Whites need one more point to gain promotion, but they could achieve a place in the Premier League without playing again.
If West Brom fail to win, they cannot catch Leeds – meaning Leeds will have achieved one of the two automatic slots. Orta was delighted – celebrating in the stands and being heard during Patrick Bamford’s press conference.
Dallas responded to footage of Orta punching the air and vividly letting his emotion boil over following the 1-0 win over Barnsley – summing up Orta with a two-word verdict on Twitter, as “the best”.
