Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has said there is more to come from Folarin Balogun after the Gunners youngster got his first goal at Molde last night.
Balogun, who is said to be in negotiations to sign a new contract with the Gunners, came off the bench to score with his first touches of the game to finish off a tired looking Molde side.
The teenager had attracted attention from Sheffield United in the summer but now looks set for a stay in north London after convincing Mikel Arteta of his talents.
And Mustafi, 28, is also impressed with what he has seen from the young forward so far. (Arsenal Official)
“He’s a very strong and intelligent player. He’s a good striker and he’s hungry. ” think at this age in strikers you can always see that hunger to score and they always want to do something in the box, and I think for him it was really nice. He came on in the last game as well and this time it was his first touch he scored with, so I’m very happy for him because I think this is something that is very important.
“We have to give him credit and hope it’s a sign of more coming in the future.”
Balogun, along with Eddie Nketiah, is forming a duo of young strikers who Arteta will expect to lead the club into the future with both Lacazette and Aubameyang in their 30s.
However, for now, the pair can learn from the experienced Gunners duo and performances and goals like this from Balogun will do noboday any harm whatsoever.

Balogun is just starting to appear on the radar for a lot of people but most who know Arsenal well will be well aware of his ability.
The youngster looks to have the knack of scoring goals which a lot of people can’t be taught, while he also comes across humble and willing to work hard for his chances.
As long as the new deal gets sorted, Arsenal should have a fine striker on their hands for years to come.
