Tottenham defender Cameron Carter-Vickers will return from his loan spell in the Championship in January – and some Stoke City fans have responded on Twitter to claim they won’t miss him.
Championship outfit Stoke signed Carter-Vickers in the summer on a season-long loan, but his time with them has been cut short by his parent club.
The American centre-back has played 15 appearances across all competitions this season, but has fallen down the pecking order recently and struggled for form.
Spurs confirmed on their official website that the 21-year-old has been recalled from his loan and will be back at the North London club on 2 January.
Jose Mourinho’s team have also opted to recalled Jack Clarke from Leeds United and Kazaiah Sterling from Doncaster Rovers.
A selection of Stoke supporters on social media don’t seem too bothered about the imminent exit of Carter-Vickers and don’t feel he will be a huge miss for them.
It goes to show that Spurs may have made a good decision in the long run with the youngster to recall him and it may be wise to try loan him out elsewhere in the second half of the season.
Here are some Stoke fans on Carter-Vickers returning to Spurs:
A real pointless signing. At least that’s one less player anyway.

Yet another FAILED loan.
Struggling to think of man good ones!

His agent deserves a knighthood. CCV is bang (below) average.
